This is a special lunch with Dr. Nigel Thrift, co-hosted by the Geography Graduate Group in partnership with Science & Technology Studies program, The Center for Science and Innovation Studies, and the Community and Regional Development Program.  

Professor Nigel Thrift is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Warwick. Previously he served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and head of the Division of Life and Environmental Sciences at Oxford. His current research spans a broad range of interests, including international finance; cities and political life; non-representational theory; affective politics; and the history of time. Professor Thrift is an Academician of the Academy of Learned Societies for the Social Sciences, and was made a Fellow of the British Academy in 2003.
